Field ISP Technician

Field ISP Technician position requires install/maintain/repair of internet equipment on residential or commercial networks; setting up wireless router, working alone and unsupervised and therefore this individual must be self-motivated and disciplined. 

Field ISP Technician must have the basic understanding of microwave, IP addressing, networking, cable installation and construction skills to mount equipment, run Cat5 Cable, terminate RJ45 cable, electrically ground equipment, program CPE radios & routers.

Field ISP Technician position requires job duties outside of the normal Monday through Friday work week of 8:00 to 5:00, including before and after-hours, night work, weekends, holidays. Travel around Cellular One footprint and surrounding areas required.

Field ISP Technician position includes working on roof tops and in confined spaces. 

Field ISP Technician position requires working outside most of the time. The position requires reaching with hands and arms, climbing and balancing as well as kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling. The position requires lifting up to 50 pounds and/or carrying material. 

Field ISP Technician position includes the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various type of ISP (Internet Service Provider) equipment at various residential and commercial buildings including but not limited to homes, schools, and businesses which requires a strong technical aptitude.

This position requires actions and behaviors that promote a positive, supportive working environment at all times.

Any and all other duties as assigned by manager.  


  • Completed High School or GED equivalent.
  • Understanding of IPv4 addressing, home computer, home routers, WiFi configurations
  • Understanding of Windows, Mac, household WiFi devices and mobile device operating systems


  • Valid driver’s license, Good driving record
  • Work in various climates
  • Work an on-call schedule if required
  • Work with hand tools safely
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Customer relation skills
  • Proficient in using laptop and operating Microsoft programs
  • Strong technical aptitude
  • Maintain a company vehicle – schedule oil changes and minor repairs
