Bill Shock

Does Cellular One comply with CTIA's Bill Shock?

Cellular One has updated its system in compliance with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) guidelines for “Bill Shock”, or the “Wireless Consumer Usage Notification Guidelines”, which provides free alerts both before and after subscribers reach monthly limits on voice, data and text. If you are on a plan with limited minutes, data, and/or texting you will receive one free text notification when you reach 80% and another free text when you reach 100% of your monthly limits. Subscribers will be covered by this plan unless they opt-out. Subscribers on unlimited postpaid plans or prepaid plans are not affected by this FCC requirement. Cellular One blocks all international roaming calls by default. In order to use your phone in foreign countries you need to contact Cellular One Customer Care at 1-800-730-2651 and ask that your phone be unlocked for use in a foreign country. Customers traveling abroad should be aware that international roaming charges can be exceptionally high. For more information see www.ctia.org.
